Jill Gayaldo has served on the Rocklin City Council since 2017. She was appointed to fill a mid-term vacancy and was selected from a field of 13 candidates who applied for the open council seat. With experience as a Rocklin small business owner, resident, commercial property owner and a long line of familial connections to the City of Rocklin, Jill remains uniquely qualified to serve on the council.
Jill served as the director of transportation for Elk Grove Unified School District, where she oversaw more than 200 employees and managed an annual budget of $14 million. She brings a keen eye for finances to the council and a clear vision for community safety. Prior to this position, Jill served as director of transportation for Rocklin Unified School District.
Jill’s family has served the city of Rocklin for many decades. Jill’s father-in-law, Andres Gayaldo, served on the council for nearly 20 years. Jill strives to honor and build upon his legacy. Jill and her husband Dan, are grandparents to fifth-generation Rocklin residents. Dan currently serves as principal at Del Oro High School.
